One Northwestern: An Integrated Biomedical and Life Sciences Enterprise

What is One Northwestern?

The vision of One Northwestern in the life and biomedical sciences is an enterprise that takes full advantage of dispersed resources and integrates talent, leadership, and investments at multiple levels across our Chicago and Evanston campuses, as well as our hospital affiliates.

History

The One Northwestern process was launched in the winter of 2007 with a series of dinners and interviews with faculty, staff, and students, to understand key issues related to life and biomedical sciences at Northwestern. Based on these discussions, an information gathering report was issued, and five task forces were formed. These task forces worked throughout the 2007-08 academic year and in June 2008, a report integrating the task force recommendations was shared.

Current

The planning phase concluded in 2008, and since then university leadership has identified priority areas for implementation. Please refer to the News and Updates section for the latest information.
